If that's not possible, I totally understand. If there's a way that I could sort the lines based upon an attribute value before exporting the LNW file it would save us a lot of hassle. So it's certainly not an error with your formatting, but logistically we can't use the files until they've been re-sequenced. For example, in our case we have 113 survey transects loaded into Hypack and our survey boats are jet skis, so you can imagine how difficult it would be to enter the keystroke (Ctrl + I) and manually pan through each line until you find LNN 2.

The lines display properly, but when the captain goes to select which line they want to begin surveying, Hypack begins with the top LNN line in the file and the boat driver must manually enter a keystroke to increment successively through each line in the file to get to their next line of interest.
#HYPACK SUPPORT DRIVERS#
So there isn't an error when the LNN numbers are out of sequence, the LNW file will actually import into Hypack just fine, it's just logistically very difficult for the boat drivers to use the LNW file when it's out of sequence. I spoke with our boat captains to clarify the Hypack issue with the LNN sequence. Instructions for configuring the Hypack connection: - Copy EchoHypackDLL. Thanks! I can force GM to parse it by removing the first row (containing LNS) but it breaks the format for Hypack. Support HYPACK®’s SURVEY program can simultaneously track, display and record the position and sensor information from your main vessel and towfish. So the line names, LNS, don't correspond to their proper lines. Right now the parsing starts using LNS, which shifts all the ATTR values down one trackline. So, for GM to parse this correctly, I would expect ATTR_1 = LIN num of points, ATTR_2 = LNN name, ATTR_3 = EOL. After that are corresponding num of rows of shot points, PTS.
#HYPACK SUPPORT SOFTWARE#
Founded in 1984, HYPACK, INC (formerly Coastal Oceanographics, Inc.) has evolved from a small hydrographic consultant to one of the most successful providers of hydrographic and navigation software worldwide. Hypack 2018 v18.1.18 (圆4) HYPACK A Xylem Brand and now part of YSI is a Windows based software for the Hydrographic and Dredging Industry. HYPACK is a leading provider of hydrographic survey data acquisition, processing, and visualization software Xylem Inc. LIN is followed by a value of the number of point records along the line ("shot points" they are sometimes called). HYPACK - A Xylem Brand and now part of YSI is a Windows based software for the Hydrographic and Dredging Industry. LNS is a single occurrence in the file (LNS value = number of lines in file) and should be skipped. It looks like improper parsing of the file by starting with the first row of data (LNS). I'm currently using 12.02 The line names, contained in the string starting with LNN do not correspond to their proper lines. The HYPACK importer is available now as a release-candidate. I noticed a quirk in loading in an LNW file this way (just now putting into workflow many months later!).
